Crystal Paris is a self taught, gifted Fashion Artistry Designer specializing in Wearable Art. After having a child at 19 years old, battling homelessness and not knowing which direction she wanted to take her life, she began looking to her strongest passion for solace, desiring to create and understand fashion. Crystal Paris would not become a statistic but rather a survivor, thus she began her first business at the age of 22 called Crystal Paris Designs LLC a brand created to empower others through Fashion and Art. Crystal has a list of personal accolades that have been added to her resume and portfolio.
Just recently she became the National Black Arts Festival emerging talent recipient earning her design "Opulent" a chance to showcase in Neiman Marcus window in Atlanta Ga. Crystal represented SCAD Atlanta in New York City as a semifinalist for 2017 National Retail Federation Next Generation Scholarship. Crystal also attended Art Basel 2016 where she worked very closely with Daniel Lisome; London based Artist and Designer on his exhibit in Miami “Theater of Self”. Crystal’s hand painted mask and designer ‘CP ICE’ were also published in the Daniel Lismore book “Be Yourself Everyone is Already Taken” published early 2017.
In 2015 Crystal won Macy’s Fashion Advance competition for her creative Kente Collection inspired by the rich culture of African American culture. In 2014 Crystal won first place as the design war winner for her Macaron Queen dress designed on behalf of the newly renovated Fashion Cafe in Simon Mall Lenox Square in Atlanta Georgia. During Crystal’s spare time she enjoys traveling the world visiting art galleries and museums, bike rides with her son, and designing one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.
As an artist Crystal Paris inspires to use her designs to encourage young girls from around the world to dream big; never giving up on their dreams no matter what, to believe in themselves while living a fearless life never taking NO for an answer!
